I had a resin Meisterstück for many years and the resin started to crack. I read about the solid gold version and thought (being so practical) that gold would last longer than resin.
It took me six months to find one - in the duty free shop at Frankfurt Airport. I bought it.
The pen kept leaking and it kept going back to the factory to be serviced. They kept blaming me for the leaks - saying I wasn’t using their ink (untrue) or somehow not holding it properly.
I finally convinced them to replace everything but the gold and it hasn’t leaked since.
It feels very good in my hand. I sign documents with great flourish.
