Hello, my name is Biz, and I am the host/keeper/composer/audio editor for an independent podcast called Throwing Bones.
Throwing Bones is a queer-led, collaborative storytelling, tabletop role-playing podcast with a diverse team that explores complex, emotional themes with their characters.
Our first campaign uses the MOTW system, and flips the common teen-centered high school story trope on its head. Our hunters are teachers at Pride High School, in Pride, Texas. Sandy Cotton is a nihilistic alcoholic haunted by specters and his past decisions (The Spooky). Ray Hoover is a traumatized man seeking vengeance for his wife and daughter while avoiding the rumors about his involvement in their deaths (The Wronged). The first few episodes feature Yuma, a divine reincarnation who has been preventing the apocalypse for some generations. Then, we introduce our third player, Coach Jack Morgan. Coach is an extremely fit, simple-minded man who never really learned how to deal with his deeper emotions, and last summer he saw something he'd rather forget (The Hard Case).
You can find us on any major platform, but here's a direct link as well! I would really appreciate if you'd give us a chance. The quality of the podcast overall has been rapidly improving, and I'm excited for where this project will go. We're fairly active on our discord server and twitter as well. If you want a more accurate representation of the current quality of the podcast, check out the holiday special, which has minimal spoilers.
