Hi, I am using Mongolian words as a basis for a project (Making a dungeons and dragons source book) but unfortunately for me I have studied the English language enough that I am lost on how pretty much all other languages work.
In Mongolian or Khalkha (but Google translate calls it mongolian) how do compound words work? For example my current problem is making a bear cat. And if possible could someone guide me to a phonetic dictionary.
I figure if I am going to base this thing off a mountain people that love and respect animals learning as much as possible about the tribal Mongolian people is a damn fine place to start. And the least I can do is pronounce things correctly.
Also any nerds who want to hear about what I'm doing and offer criticism I am very friendly and happy to learn
