Insecurity of being submissive as you get older.

Was wondering if anyone else deals with the feeling that as you get older you lose your ability to be submissive. I worry sometimes that I (as a man) missed my chance to be the submissive one in a relationship and will end up getting shoehorned into being a more dominant role the older I get. Wanted to know if anyone else has been feeling this way or how anyone's dealt with this in the past.
