Questions about syncing Roland tr8s to winter Modular eloquencer

Hi I am new to eurorack and I would like to know how I can sync my tr8s drums to my new eloquencer sequencer…
I used trigger out of the tr8s and connected it into clock of the eloquencer but I am unable to get them both to start at the first beat of the pattern at the same time.
I know it has a reset jack but I’m wondering where to plug that to… lol
Silly question I’m sure.
Also is there a way to have only one play pause starting both at the same time?
