I founded a sub and am recruiting mods. Can I kick them if they are bad?

Post Body

I founded a sub recently and am considering appointing an active user in the sub as a mod. I do not know much about them, their motives, character, biases, goals, how they will respond to situations, or their true vision for the future of the sub or values. Obvi I will interview them about this, but I dont know if they are truthful.

If they turn out to be somehow “bad” in the future, will I be able to kick them out and remove their mod privileges?

Also, will they be able to somehow “take over” the sub and potentially kick me?
