I admin a NSFW sub.
In the past, people posting their own content to promote their OF or whatever website would brand their stuff. Images watermarked, using a name that they chose.
Now, a lot of the posts are different in a few ways:
All the accounts have a link to OF pinned on their profile, not unusual but they all are written in a specific way
The accounts use default reddit names, not branding their account
The posts have often been posted before, anywhere from a few days or weeks ago, using the same title, or longer and using different titles
All of this would point to bots and stolen content, but the accounts only post the same person, not random content from random accounts
Are these bots? Are these people doing things different and I don't get why? I am trying to figure out if I should auto ban any account with a default reddit generated name/that posts content that has been posted before from a different account or if some of these accounts are real people.
OF agencies use these tactics. Yes, they are bots.
