The gunsmith is the best thing to be implemented into a COD and I love how much customization comes with it. But one thing that bugs me is how the amount of attachments that affect recoil stabilization. If I were to count the universal attachments that affect recoil control, I'd need both hands. Compensator, merc, operator, ranger, longer barrels, rubberized grip tape and probably more. But for recoil stabilization, we got the commando foregrip, muzzle brake and the VLK sight. Only three. Most of the weapons have similar recoil patterns (up-right) I'm no weapon expertise but there must be more ways in real life to modify a weapon to assist with horizontal recoil. I get this COD is all about realism and I like that but we need more. Some guns really need it like the AK-47. Infinity Ward has two options that I had in mind. Either buff the existing recoil stabilization and increase their effectiveness with dealing with horizontal recoil and maybe make their downsides a little bit worse or add more downsides or something with the downsides. For example, the commando foregrip could have a slightly bigger effect to your movement speed or maybe make the aiming stability that comes with it a little bit less or remove it entirely and give it some sort of other benefit. Or they could add more attachments that help you with recoil stabilization but that would be more difficult but could lead to even more customization which is always nice imo. Once again, I'm no firearm expertise and I'm not sure what they could add so if anyone knowledgeable with firearms and weaponry, leave your ideas in the comments.
