Game Crashes with Cruise Missile

Been playing solely Ground War so not sure if applicable to other game types but I've been noticing that whenever I use the cruise missile the game just crashes ~50% of the time. Especially towards the end of the game. Anyone else have this? I would say it's my internet connection but it always happens mid-animation. The missile is about to split but the game freezes. I have audio for the next 3 seconds and then that's it. Have to force quit.
