PS gamer here, I redownloaded this game yesterday out of curiosity to if I really enjoyed it like I thought I did. I played MW 2019 through Cold War and Vanguard because I like modern shooters. The hype train of MWII and MWIII got me. I enjoyed III just a bit more but it still felt like it lacked something. For starters the gunsmith… The overwhelming amount of attachments that don’t really make a difference after a certain point or multiple attachments that do the same things as the ones you already have just seemed pointless. The OG MW2 maps were really fun to revisit but the new play style really doesn’t work well on most of them and all of the new maps feel like speedball courses. MW2019 had maps that I just prefer all around. The verticality, vantage points and strong positioning combined with rush/flank routes made the game feel fresh for the first time in a long time. Slide canceling being a skill over a mechanic was nice to see again. Now the gun play is just SO much better. The guns feel more satisfying to use in every way and I couldn’t get over it. I do hate not having a 120 fov but I got used to it again very quickly through a game of hard point before getting to my true love. Search and destroy! With the limited field upgrades and solid lethals and tacticals map design. This game was made for search and destroy. I will never not love snd and it shines here. On MWII and III it really showed their weakness in their newer maps. I only ran into 1 hacker in about 4 hours so maybe I got lucky? All this to say that I really missed this game and I wish it was still brand new.
