Hey guys,

Over the past week or so I've been hearing a lot of people lay blame for these riots on Obama and his failure to condemn BLM and claim that it's the source of much of the division in the country today. I also hear some sources claim he called for the death of police officers and he is now to blame for all the cop hatred that exists today.

I don't agree with these assessments, but I was only in high school through Obama's second term and I wasn't really following much news at the time. I'm just wondering if any of you know of any specific moments that can verify these claims/beliefs or at least explain why they exist. My own research hasn't come up with much because I assume it was driven by pundits, but I'm not sure.

Edit: I misread an article. The accusation is that "Obama didn't denounce Black Lives Matter, an organization known for calling for the death of cops."
