A huge part of the "reason" is partisanship though.

While inflation is definitely an issue and spending power is reduced, it's also true that no matter what the reality is, Republican voters are going to keep saying that the economy is bad.

People have posted the data on these studies in this sub repeatedly, so there is no excuse for not at least acknowledging that here.

Democrats display partisanship as well, but the data shows that Republicans do so to a MUCH more extreme degree.

So this isn't a situation where both sides cancel each other out.

I agree that there is a negative perception btw, I'm just pointing out that some of those naysayers are doing so poorly because of partisanship, not their fiscal reality.
