Rather than argue with what I think you're saying, because I'm not sure... can you elaborate on what you mean by "similar enough for campaigning purposes"?
And yeah, there are people in this sub who are frequently trying to equivocate about the cases and argue that Trump is being treated unfairly, so while you shouldn't have to state the obvious, if you don't want to be lumped in with them, you do have to state the obvious.

Let's just be as clear as possible here...
Trump is getting charged because they asked for files returned and he willfully refused.
Let's contrast that to both Pence and Biden willingly cooperating.
They didn't need to invent a reason not to charge Biden and they didn't "want" to prosecute Trump....Trump got charged because unlike everyone else he refused to return documents when he was asked for them.
We can agree that top officials regularly retain things they shouldn't, that is a topic that is worth discussing, but we need to stop with this false equivalency between Trump and others.
He refused repeatedly to comply with the law, that is the difference.
