Post Body

Hello to all, long time lurker here as model trains have always fascinated me, but i've never really had the space until now.

I picked up the Flying Soctsman set by Hornby, loving the set so far, the main question I have is im looking to upgrade to another control unit asap as I feel the one provided is a little small and perhaps a little flimsy ? So any suggestionson an upgrade from it would be greatly appreciated.

The 2nd part of my question is in relation to a number of old locomotives which was left to me in my Grandas will when I was a lot younger, having brought them out of storage and keen to test them to see what works and what does not, when I placed the much older trains on the Flying Scotsman setup, its almost as if the trains somehow tripped the new Hornby control unit which seems to just flat out die for a few minutes almost? (not sure if this is even possible)

Hopefully im making some kind of sense anyway, as I said very new to all this :)
