Has any manufacturer yet addressed the horrid "black plastic ties" problem?
Post Body
I've been away from this hobby for a little under 20 years.
Last I remember, all tracks from all manufacturers were black, shiny, and obviously plastic in appearance. You'd see great hyper-real sets, ballast, weathering, and all, and these sets would STILL have black shiny ties. There just didn't seem to be an effective way of addressing this.
Two decades is a long time. Has any manufacturer done anything about this?
(Or are there a few accepted "best practices" that deliver great results?)
