Can I spray paint again after clear coat?

This is my first time model making, I didn't check if the spray paint was applied thoroughly before top coating. So there's some spot where I can still see the primer underneath the paint. How can I apply more layers of paint now? Do I have to sand down the top coat in the area where I want to respray?
