With the Skylance one two and three becoming public knowledge, would you like to comment on your role in the project?” The Scientist pauses “The what project now?” “Skylance, you’re listed as one of the top scientists!” “I don’t know what you’re talking about, I don’t know what a skylance even is, all my inventions have ‘inator’ on the end to show how incredible they are” “Sir it’s public knowledge you don’t have to hide it.” “I have no clue what you’re talking about and I would like for you to quit crowding my space, why can’t you be like this very respectful Platypus Reporter here?”

Meanwhile in the Telos 4 labs Classified

“He’s not a very good liar is he?” Varriss asks reviewing the interview “Eh, to be honest he has no idea he’s on the Skylance program, we’ve been using his inventions without him realizing it” One of the lead Scientists replies Varriss raises an eyebrow “What?” “Perhaps its best I just show you” The Scientist pulls up a screen “So back when we were developing the Skylance One platform, the doctor left his passcode for him to drive his speeder into the lab parking lot at home and thus couldn’t get past the shield gate.” The screen shows security camera feed of Darthenshmirtz rummaging around his speeder for several minutes “So of course he did what any reasonable person would do, and called me to let him in. Not!” Darthenshmirtz climbs out of his car and walks over to a convenient service entrance next to the gate. A few minutes later he comes our carrying a massive armful of parts, he proceeds to start assembling a large antenna like structure on the front of his speeder, once assembled he drives it up to the gate and the antenna opens a hole in the shield for him to drive through. “He advertised as the ‘Shield-opening-inator’ and wanted to market it for speeders that were late for work. When we suggested military applications he could not think of any. So when he wasn’t looking, we reverse engineered it and stuck it on the front of our missiles. Every six or seven months we take the most advanced shield tech we can find and slap it on the gate, steal his ID, and let him build a new one” Varriss blinks in surprise but after thinking a moment just shakes her head “As long as it works”
