hello i am considering opening up a repair shop, advice on promotions?
Post Body

so the plan is to be very promotion/specials oriented and very customer service friendly. for the promotional aspect i was wondering if you all think it is a good idea to do a giveaway from my facebook page to generate some quick interest? (maybe an unlocked iPhone 6 or an iPad mini) something like you are entered into a draw for the prize each time you get a screen replacement. also, i plan on doing things like deals if you bring in multiple devices, discounts for giving an honest review on facebook, yelp, etc., discounts for filling out survey (howd you find us, etc.) and maybe referral discount as well. what do you think of this marketing strategy ? are there any shop owners who have similar promotions and is it working out well ? are there reasons any of these ideas may not work in practice or are just plain bad ideas? any insight is much appreciated!
