hey guys was hoping to get some insight into what i should be getting paid for what i do. heres the rundown, i work at a cell repair shop, it is only me and the owner. we mainly do screen replacement and other components, he does some soldering but i do not. i work about 34-38 hours a week and get paid cash by hourly wage at 12.50/hr (CAD),so thats like 9.30/hr USD. i am at the shop sometimes more than the owner is and i do most of the screen/component replacements as well as dealing with customers, quoting them and cashing them out and other interactions. i have been working here for over a year now and i was thinking it is time to ask for commission on screen repairs only, maybe like $5 per device. i was wondering if thats reasonable to ask ? or should i ask for a raise in wage ? any advice would be very much appreciated!
