Karaoke Plus

I'm looking for some help. I went to a wedding recently and the DJ not only played music but also played guitar and keyboards and sang along with some of the songs. He told me he used 'Karaoke Plus' which allows you to drop out certain parts of the song so you can play along... anyone else heard if this and have a link? Googled it and all I can find is an app which certainly doesn't appear to do what I want!
