I've been doing some light research on MMT. I say light becausebI haven't read a book on it yet. But from everything I've read and listened to so far, I'm trying to understand why the Elites are so stubborn? What do they gain? If we implement MMT they can get the tax cuts they've always wanted and the government can pay for a lot of the social ills or at least provide the economic stimulus so they they we can get more money through people buying more goods. I just don't get it. Do they get a power trip from poverty? Do they want a certain amount of money before they let go? I'm trying to understand why they're selling themselves short.

I don't believe they are unaware of MMT.
