New fan here trying to find a team to support need tips.
Post Body

Hey, so I'm trying to get into baseball but it's kind of tough when you watch highlights without having a team to support. I wanted to ask on this sub who should I support?

For background I'm a huge football(soccer) fan and the club I support is Leeds Unites. They aren't trophy winners in fact we last won the league in the 60s. Last season and this season we've pretty much been fighting to stay in the league. What makes us special though is that we have a fan base who remain forever dedicated, we play a brand of football that is exciting and fast and a running joke is that if you have a heart condition you shouldn't be a Leeds fan.

If there is any team like that in the MLB, hey I'm used to supporting a non winner but fun team.

Thanks.

Edit: I wanted to say thanks a lot to everyone who has responded so far. I've got a lot of recommendations on what teams to support and seems like the Mariners most align with what kind of teams I usually support. That being said I'll still wait for Spring Training to start and see which team pulls me in the most. I did forget to mention that I do live in Canada so the natural reaction would be the Blue Jay's but where I live is actually significantly closer to Seattle. Thanks again everybody and keep the recommendations and why coming so I can make the best choice.
