so im half black half white, and my white parent tells me that “im not black,” even though i have 3c4a hair and would not pass as white. i probably wouldn’t pass as black either but look ambiguous either way. i could potentially pass as hispanic tho. i think its the fact that my white parent has had some difficulties with my black parent and i think it might be a slap in the face to her if i were to identify as black. jand that my black parent seems to get special treatment by society because of his upbringinng and other family members. so this is kind of why i dont fit in with other black people. but i dont fit in with other white people as well. my white parent always likes to use the encounter i when i was getting blood drawn and the black nurse looked at me kind of weird when i said i was black.
