Post Body

My dad is Malayali Indian and mom is Mexican. My friends say I look Indian. I want to say l'm Indian because I was born there my but my early childhood were in the US and grew partially in India into adulthood and later moved back. Culturally I always had to explain myself to other Indians/Desis because we're a typical American Baptist Christian family and I am probably often seen as someone siding with the colonizers among the community. Have any of you guys have had a similar experience? How did you come to terms with your identity?
