Curious to get thoughts from other ECs here. A student and I had scheduled an interview, and the student no-showed. I sent them an email a few minutes after the scheduled time, then left 15 minutes after.

The student wrote a couple emails apologizing, and stated that they forgot about it. They said they "don't expect a second interview and I am also not asking for one".

The way I see it, I have 3 options:

• Not schedule another interview, because actions have consequences
• Schedule another interview, and note in the report that the first interview was missed
• Schedule another interview and make no note of the original

I'm personally leaning towards 2 or 3 (assuming the student would want to interview). Any thoughts?

Edit: for posterity's sake, I offered the student option 1 or 2, and they took option 2.
