I was driving somewhere today and while on my way I was suddenly cut off by a SUV while coming to halt at a red light, there were no indicators or whatsoever, pretty sure I would have ended up t-boning him if I hadn’t slammed on the breaks, then I laid on the horn. The driver rolled his windows down and was smoking a J, and was trying to provoke me, when the light turned green the driver switched lanes, swerved onto other cars, tried to intimidate me by driving onto me dangerously, other cars had noticed this and someone else had honked too.
I had decided to call the 911 to report the driver as I had clearly seen him be a danger to other drivers, to my surprise I wasn’t able to get anyone on hold for 2 mins and then I had received a call back after 5-10 mins where they did extensively drill me for information where they were kind of offended that I came up to them with this kind of information, his tone was condescending and extremely insensitive. Just ended up exchanging all my information, didn’t seem that they were gonna do any follow up either, did I waste almost 30 mins of my time for nothing? And then some more by making a Reddit post about it too? 🥹 Or did I do the right thing by reporting him?
Also should I be concerned about my information being collected during such calls?
Either way rant over. Get a grip my guy, your daddy didn’t build these roads.
