Only way. At the this point in fully on-board the Adrien is a sentimonster theory. I've seen too damn much to deny at this point.
So with everything I've seen, Adrien needs to take that ring away from Gabe in order to follow his own will and help Ladybug defeat his father. Unless that result is achieved Adrien will be stuck in the same loop of wanting to defy his father but having no real way to do it.
