I love this phrase as much as the next Vikings fan, but it got me thinking - how true is this in reality? I know we have a losing record and all right now, but I don't think losing a game counts as flim-flamming. When I think flim-flam, I think of trick/gadget plays, and I don't really remember the Vikings D falling for any of these this season. Is my memory correct, or have there been successful trick plays run against us this year?
EDIT: I get the ordinary meaning of the phrase that Zimmer is a no-nonsense, unflappable guy. I was just curious about whether it translated to the football field as well.
