The threat of my 21st birthday is looming too close for comfort.
I remember during the summer before my freshman year of high school I used to wake up at around 10am then go ride my bike or my rollerblades through each neighborhood in my hometown until I could circumnavigate the entire thing. Even to this day, any time I drive anywhere I know where everything is and I know various details about how the place has changed in the past…somewhere around 7 years now…maybe 8. Now, instead of suburbia, I can take on Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Reddit, do your thing. Help me out. If you had some freedom, how would you spend your 21st birthday in the metro area of Minnesota? What would you want to experience?
Here’s your 2 major caveats -
1 - There’s a high chance I’m spending my birthday alone, I’ll likely do a family dinner, but my friends are either 20 or scattered due to being in college and being on break 2 - I was a bartender for a while, I know what flavors I was to drink but I know that the prospect of drinking until I’m hammered or even just past buzzed isn’t something I want to do at all. Alcohol doesn’t enthrall me, but cool bars with great atmosphere’s definitely do.
