First-time story post…bear with me (47M)

I drive for Uber and Lyft here in Minneapolis. I’m always asked about my worst passenger or my best experiences.

But the other night, I was close to making a play on a passenger.

I picked up a group of four in my van. With four, two usually go to the back row and two to the middle row. Not this group!

Ainsley (let’s call her) asks politely to sit in the front seat. Blond hair, cute face, and busty? That’s an easy yes. The temperature was about 25 degrees last night, so no one’s showing skin!

But this group had already spent the better part of the day drinking, so they were in high spirits. Ainsley asked to control the, and I gave her the AUX cord. By this time, we’ve already pinky swore (on something that I don’t remember), high fived, and held hands momentarily. And now with her controlling the music, it was so loud that I had to lean in close to her ear to have a conversation!

I should mention that her boyfriend was in the back, calling me by a childhood nickname, which I was not a fan of. And this emboldened me to get closer to his girlfriend! I kept leaning in just to ask her anything! She was so kind, and very flirty!

But as much as I wanted to put my hand on her thigh, I just couldn’t do it…

I was hoping to match with them at the end of the night, but it never happened.

What should I have done differently??
