Feeling a bit confused about the hobby

Post Body

I’ve been painting and playing warhammer AoS for about 4 months now and to be frank my experience playing the actual game kinda meh.. I believe it’s just not my thing but I do enjoy painting. I recently have been unmotivated to paint more troops in my army.

Well recently I’ve bought 2 75mm and one 120mm scale and size models that weren’t warhammer and had an absolute blast painting them and bringing them to life even tho they are just sitting for display. From that I’ve come to the conclusion that I really like large scale models and love the idea of a big piece sitting for display, I also have experience airbrushing and building gundams so I think that’s where my love for big models come from.

Has anyone felt this way at the beginning for they painting journey? I find myself having more fun browsing Etsy and other small companies for miniatures rather then warhammer.

My cousin recommended that I look in to painting busts but I’m kinda of scared of going that route as I heard painting bust requires a different approach to painting techniques and steps. I feel like going ahead and getting one and giving it a shot. What do you guys think? Any advice would be helpful.
