My homemade wash with dish soap is a little bit bubbly, is that normal or a sign I had too much soap?

Stirring the pot and brushing onto the mini would agitate the soap enough to leave some bubbly soap trails.. is that a sign im using too much soap? I dont have exact measurements, but just using mostly water, a little more than a drop of paint, then just a smear of dish soap onto the end of my stir stick (the back end of a brush I'll never use), then mix it together.

If there is a better way to make a wash on the cheap, I'm game to learn. I've already seemed to find out that glaze medium and mixing medium are not the same thing.
