Airbrushing - Does the nozzle cap size need to match the needle and nozzle size?

Hi,
I have a H&S Ultra, which came with a 0.2mm needle. I bought a 0.4mm needle and nozzle, but when I fitted them, no air even comes out (even without the needle in, so it’s a problem on the nozzle end).
Is the nozzle cap standard for the airbrush, or sized for the nozzle and needle, and so do I need a specific 0.4mm nozzle cap?
