What materials to use for making trenches/landscapes?

Post Body

Hi all. I'm looking to make some scenic bases and dioramas for my 40k Kreig vets. I've got everything I need for making the trenches etc but the one thing I'm not entirely sure of is what to use for bulking up the piles or earth etc, for the likes of the landscape above the trenches, and mounds of dirt leading up to the defenses around artillery etc?

I've used greenstuff for obvious small scale stuff but I'd seen milliput floating about? Based in the UK if that's any relevance, but need to know how best to bulk our larger areas of earth and dirt Thanks!
