I have received an offer for an electrical-related position at a local mine that is supposed to start this fall. Just to clarify, this isn't supposed to be a FIFO job, rather it's a place I will be commuting to everyday. I had my interview earlier this year and after they confirmed that I was accepted I didn't receive any other news. They said they will be sending all the paperwork alter after they confirm some more information, but that I was already admitted.
Suddenly yesterday morning I received a call from someone from the mine who claimed to be my new supervisor claiming that I will be subject to a PEPI (pre-employment penis inspection). When I started questioning it like asking if he was sure I had to undergo it, he confirmed my name and all the details about my future role at the mine, which were all in fact correct. He didn't give me any option for choosing a date and just told me the day I had to come there. I later called the person with whom I had the job interview to ask if this was normal and she said that it was up to the supervisors to decide who will undergo this inspection and who will be the one conducting it.
I'm really not sure about what to do now. I'm very worried since the PEPI will take place in less than a week and I have no idea what to expect or how to prepare. Can anyone please explain what the process will be like if you have already underwent one? Is there a special doctor/nurse who does them and what do they look/test for in these inspections? What should I do now to make sure I pass it and not make it awkward or anything? Also, what happens if you don't pass it?

Maybe that's what OPs mom used to do for a "cover job".
