What size clutch fits on a Honda gx340 type v?(tapered shaft cuz generator)

I need to know cuz the shaft doesn't come with a keyway, and a 1in clutch is too big. So my idea is to get a 1 in adapter and weld it onto the shaft so then I have a keyway and the adapter wint spinning over/around the shaft.
