Anybody had a rough time installing Gopowersports front disk brake kit? My stock front rim had a washer on each side between the rim bearing and shock housing. The Gopowersports rim was not as wide so I have been trying to shim (requires 2 each side ideally). However if I shim to little on the brake disk side the disk low profile allen-head mounting bolts hit the shock housing (see pic). Then if I shim more on that disk side and push the rim to the right (view as if riding bike) the disk binds against the inside brake pad on the caliper (when the axel nut is tightened).
Using no shims pinches the fork together to far and binds the shocks and wheel. It’s like there’s no sweet spot or happy medium.
To ad one more you can see how much moisture was in the caliper reservoir (reference pics). It looked like creamy light milk. So I purged the entire line but still seems really spongy even after purge and bleeding. You might be wondering how I can tell it’s spongy. Well……. If I leave the axle nut on but loose with two shims in the right and one thick and one thin washer on the left (disk side) it will actually spin freely. However it’s not a permanent solution to leave the axle nut lose. I’ve called GoPowerSports and talked with Dea Dea who said send him some pics and that was 2 weeks ago with two more emails from me asking for help and no reply. Customer support (at least for me) seems lacking. It was truly frustrating to see the brake reservoir and line full of moisture, now deflating it won’t even work.
Sorry for the Novel and appreciate anyone’s ideas or help. I have a BT200X and this what’s their kit for it, says it fits and have seen it on other minis.
Thanks guys
