Hey guys,

As you may have noticed, the rules of which mods are and are not allowed have been changed slightly. These changes have also added a mod called Shotbow Minimap to the list. I wanted to tell you guys that this minimap is pretty much Rei's minimap for minecraft 1.8. I have personally always preferred Rei's over any other minimap, so I thought I'd share it.

In order to install it, you need to install Liteloader. It does say on the website that it's a dev build, but I personally haven't had any issues with it. After installing Liteloader, you have to download Shotbow here. You should get a .litemod file and you will have to put this in your minecraft mods folder (AppData\Roaming.minecraft\mods\1.8).

This should get it properly installed for you. There is also a way of getting it with forge, according to the website, but I personally don't like forge and haven't really used it.
