Bedrock should react when exposed to the sky

Post Body

If you go to all the trouble of baring a bunch of bedrock to the sky, it should start growing something useful which could be harvested with a diamond shovel.

Perhaps a nearly indestructible variant of grass which can be woven into chain mail? I get chain mail all the time from killing mobs, but it is not currently craftable.

I'd love to hear your suggestions: what should bedrock give you when you manage to clear all the blocks above it?
