How might horses affect tactics in the next UHC season? (Assuming they use 1.6.1)

I was rewatching a few of the season 11 episodes yesterday and it occurred to me, once they start doing it on a version after the addition of horses, there will be a radically new advantage a player could get.

Looking for people on the surface could get a lot more dangerous, because just like you might not know who has potions, enchantments, etc, you dont know if anybody has found a saddle and a horse. A single horse could be a gamechanger for the first person to get one. You could be nearly unstoppable, with their extra health and quick speed.

Discussion question: How might this affect future UHC matches? Will the mod be updated to nerf horses or maybe remove them altogether? Will saddles be made craftable or more common to counteract the (possibly) overpowered advantage of being the only one with a horse? Or if none of the above, how might the "safe" playstyle be changed by their addition?
