Post Body

I recently acquired my C&R license, only understanding a few of the perks but only really being concerned with those anyway. I've had a few rifles shipped to my door and I've been content with that.

Yesterday I stumbled on a reasonably priced Smith and Wesson 1917 at my local gun shop and decided to purchase it. I asked them if my C&R license would ease the transaction in any way and they looked at me like I had three heads. I clarified that I had a type 3 FFL license and they responded that they had no idea what that is. We all shrugged and moved on with the transaction.

Should I still log this purchase in my C&R log book? Is that not necessary? Can someone help me understand if there are additional benefits to having the license beyond internet or long distance transfers of long guns?
