Garand FOIA Request Help

Hi All, I got two dream garlands this year and was wondering if I’d be right to think that a freedom of information act request on their serial numbers would go to the DOD or a different agency. DOD right? I know folks have posted their results here but I like posting and I don’t have time to ask Reddit for a FOIA report on this. Got me a CMP service grade sub-1mil receiver with a proofed stock set - as well as an rack grade H&R which I’ve dreamed of for a while. Thanks for the confirmation!

Then you don't have time for a FOIA request.

As someone who does them for fun, FOIA requests are 95% waiting for them to get back to you and you're looking at months worth of time.
