I'm a prospective apprentice, with no mechanical work experience, but i've done an 8 month millwright pre-apprenticeship program.
I got a call today about being called in for an interview at my local (ontario) but they also told me that they can't schedule anything right now coz of the lockdown. i've already done the aptitude test.
I wanna be as prepared as I can be once I get called in. What sort of questions can i expect?
will they be asking any technical questions about the trade? i mean the sort of questions I got on the mechanical aptitude test, related to tools, fasteners, bearings, etc? I don't think i did particularly well on this part (then again I don't know how well people do on average so maybe i'm underestimating my performance.) so it's the sort of thing i'm most worried about.
will they ask any questions outside of technical knowledge? if so what can i expect?
and what is the dress code for this interview? would going in with jeans, work boots, and a t-shirt be okay, or is that too casual?
