Bon jour!
I'm about to get some big boy millipedes ( hissing roaches). Already got a nice big tank and spoken to some pros from the shop im buying from. Just have a couple things I want to double check set up wise:
substrate: I'm using komodo, I pre sure that's ok from what I've seen but I also want to mix with some leafy detritus. Should I be baking/freezing leaf litter/rotted wood I find outside for substrate?
food: apart from the nice rotten things, I've seen soft veggies/kitchen scarps are fine. Anything to avoid?
extra nutrients: can egg shell be used in lieu of cuttle fish for calcium?
BONES: I am an avid bone collector and really want some bones in my set up. I'm currently cleaning a small deer skull that I want to pop in, will that be OK for my wee boys? Skull is already old and dry, just getting the last bits of dirt off :)
Thankoo greatly in advance compadres! 🐛
