This is very common for people with ADHD (as are similar behaviours). It’s because if you leave the current task (cooking) to put the eggs in the bin, you may end up doing something else and your food burns. She may or may not be aware of why she does it and say something like “I forget to put them in the bin” or “it’s easier”, but it actually does have a purpose
