She has done this the entire 18 years I have been with my wife. In the beginning I had my wife ask her to shut the door because you know, boundaries? And I’m pretty sure she did once, then she never did it again in the 5 years that we had to live with her and then to this day 18 years later whenever we visit her or she visits us.

She knows that it bugs me and she knows that she should close the door when she uses the bathroom, so it’s understood that I don’t even need to ask her anymore because we both know she knows she should be closing it.

I know this because every time I inevitably walk by and accidentally see her on the shitter she freaks out and half ass attempts to close the door, then she’ll spend the next 5 minutes over apologizing to me for not closing it.

I don’t even know what to do at this point after 18 years, you’d think I’d get used to it but I don’t. Just shut the freaking door!!!
