I live in NYC so I park my car in a commercial garage and pay a monthly rate. The past few times I’ve taken the car out, the AC is turned to the coldest temperature and at full blast, which is never how I use it. This leads me to believe that when I drop it off, the attendants are hanging in the car with the AC blasting so they can cool down. I totally get that the garage is hot and they need to stay cool and stay safe. But shouldn’t the garage management be providing an AC in their booth (corporate greed creating unsafe conditions for workers who in turn inconvenience customers 🙄…)
I’m just kinda annoyed cause doesn’t running the AC also use gas? Should I say something? Leave a passive-aggressive note on the dashboard? Just accept it as a cost of parking there?
tldr: Garage attendants seemingly hangout in my car and use the AC to cool down when I drop it off.
ETA: I appreciate people giving the benefit of the doubt. Should’ve added the radio is also often tuned to a different station. That I don’t care about. But I don’t think it’s the valet prepping the car for me. Guess it’s just the cost of business.
