Uber Comfort driver wanted us to pay him more because he picked us up in an SUV

We ordered an Uber Comfort, and the driver came in a big SUV. A few minutes after we were off, he said we should really be paying him more because it's not a "comfort" car, it's an "XL" car, and he asked for cash.
He then proceeded to be on the phone with Hertz for the rest of the ride. It was a rental car.
