My company started a new PTO policy.
Post Body

Just found out my company started a new policy where you must have your shift/area covered before your allowed to use PTO, and PTO requests can only be submitted 1 month or LESS in advance. Well I’m the only one who works in my area and the only one with the knowledge. I brought this up to my supervisor thinking I was excluded and he said “Oh, yeah maybe you can train someone in your are before you want to leave, then we can approve it.” I said “ Well, who are you going to train in?” He said “Oh no, that’s on you… if you want the time off you need to take the initiative to stay late and train a coworker”

Guess who’s putting in a two week notice and will be on vacation at the end of April!

Schedule construction is the job of a supervisor. Fuck them.
