As a precursor, I am not diagnosed, but after doing my own personal research, I think I may have Muscle Tension Dysphonia. I'm a 20 year old tenor and I've been singing for my entire life, and around 2017, i started singing more intensive things, and around september of 2019, i started to feel a burning sensation around the left side of my neck. This also came with a loss of range/power, a need to constantly clear my throat, sudden breaks in the voice, and loss of vocal endurance. I used to be able to belt up to an A4/Bb4 with no effort, and after that it's been really hard to. I've been experiencing this for 4 years and i think i've finally truly realized what's wrong with it. I want to go to an ENT but I'm aware that this gets misdiagnosed a lot. What do i do going forward?
